Cookie Policy

Last updated: 21 May 2026

This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used by SecondBrain (the "Service").

1. What are cookies and local storage

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. "Local storage" is a similar browser mechanism for keeping small pieces of data on your device. Both can be strictly necessary (technical) or used for profiling/analytics.

2. We use only technical cookies and storage

The Service uses only strictly necessary technical cookies and local storage, namely:

  • second_brain_session — a technical session cookie used by the server for the session lifecycle.
  • sb.auth.token (local storage) — keeps you signed in by storing your authentication token.
  • sb-language (local storage) — remembers your chosen interface language.

3. No profiling or third-party cookies

We do not use analytics, advertising or profiling cookies, and we do not embed third-party content (such as YouTube or Twitch players, maps or social widgets) that would set third-party cookies. Because we use only strictly necessary technical cookies, under the Italian Garante's guidelines no consent banner is required.

4. Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies and clear local storage through your browser settings. Note that disabling the technical cookies/storage listed above will prevent you from signing in and using the Service.

5. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy; the date above reflects the latest version.
